Probably Paradise Shelter, located in rural Maharashtra is a safe haven for 450+ animals who are old, disabled and discarded. It provides shelter to needy dogs, cats, ponies, horses, donkeys, cows, pigs, etc. who cannot survive the harsh conditions on the streets and gives them a loving home to live in peace and cross the rainbow bridge with dignity. The shelter was founded in 2011 by Roxanne Davur in Karjat and has been instrumental in changing the reality of needy animals by working tirelessly to uplift them. It also runs ambulances and provides treatment, sterilization and vaccination services in rural areas which otherwise go neglected.
