Hannah’s House Shelter provides domestic violence victims and homeless women and children a safe haven from abuse, support in the form of counseling, comfortable beds, nutritious meals, and vocational and educational counseling to help them to be successful in the community. They also offer transitional housing at their 17 unit apartment complex. Counseling is also provided to men and women in English and Spanish for anger management, substance abuse, parenting, domestic violence abusers and victims, anti-theft, self-esteem, and life skills classes. A food bank is available each Wednesday from their office. Thanks in part to a grant from the Opturo Foundation, Hannah House was able to purchase a van that will transport families to appointments, work, school, grocery shopping and events.
